Tracey Brothers Complete £16m Redevelopment for Henderson Group
The Mallusk based Henderson Group has just completed a £16million redevelopment of their Hightown warehouse complex. Henderson Group holds the franchise for SPAR, EUROSPAR, ViVO and ViVO Essentials in Northern Ireland and provides a distribution service to 490 retailers in Northern Ireland along with an all-Ireland Foodservice business. Its annual turnover is approaching £1billion and the family run company has been distributing food and grocery-related products to the convenience retail sector for more than 120 years.
Tracey Brothers are delighted to have successfully completed the redevelopment of the Hendersons Hightown Warehouse complex. Tracey Brothers will be 70 years in business next year and are proud to be one of Ireland’s leading contractors. However, they remain very conscious of continuing to ensure that all levels in the company they remain in close contact with their clients. This allows the company to focus on each client’s particular needs as well as the technical challenge of each construction project.
The successful relationship with Hendersons commenced when Tracey Brothers were awarded the contract to design and build the redevelopment of the old Marks and Spencer distribution centre into a new state of the art 185,000 sq ft Ambient Distribution Centre with over 5000 sq ft of associated office accommodation. This scheme was developed on the opposite side of the Mallusk Road from the main Hendersons estate but full integration of services with the overall estate was achieved by thrust boring the services links under the very busy Mallusk Road.
